Care & Maintenance
Four lenses, one frame, one case, one cloth. That's the whole system.
Rinse the lenses under cool water before you wipe — running water lifts grit that would otherwise drag across the surface. Dry with the included microfiber cloth. No paper towels, no shirt hems, no alcohol-based sprays. The lenses are precision-molded nylon, which is light, durable, and slightly more forgiving than glass — but it scratches if you ask it to.
When you swap, the lens you take off goes back in its own slot in the case. Each lens has one dedicated slot.
Treat the frame like a good pair of shoes. It will outlast most things you own if you don't sit on it.

ZEISS developed BioChrom through research into how coloured lenses affect visual experience. We paired three of its colour lenses with a neutral ZEISS sun lens in one interchangeable system.

It started on a snowboard
On the mountain, I changed my goggle lens when the light changed. I wanted that same freedom in sunglasses I'd wear every day.
In Milan I found ZEISS BioChrom, and the idea followed: a sun lens plus three colours, in a frame with the swap hidden from the front.

Good to know
Do I need to choose which lens comes with my kit?
No. Every kit includes Sun, Focus, Relax and Refresh. You choose the frame finish; all four lenses are included.
Are all four lenses really ZEISS, and where are they made?
All four lenses are ZEISS. Three of them — Focus, Relax and Refresh — are BioChrom colour lenses; Sun is the neutral ZEISS sun lens that completes the kit. The frames are made and hand-finished in Italy.
The frame feels very light. Is it fragile?
The lightness is deliberate. Worn with a lens fitted the kit weighs 24.3 grams — roughly half a classic acetate pair. The frame is injection-molded Grilamid TR90, chosen because it flexes under pressure and returns to shape, then hand-polished.
What if they press on my nose?
That is a standard adjustment, not a fault. Any optician can fine-tune the temples and bridge in a few minutes — and we will cover the cost. Send us the receipt.
Do the lenses smudge when I swap them?
Hold the mask by its edge rather than across the lens. The anti-smudge coating means what does transfer wipes off with the included cloth.
